Guerrilla Crafter Goes Digital #1

Today has been most exciting.
Today is the day i printed the very first range of
Guerrilla Crafter digital fabric.

I stood and watched proudly as
each centimetre was printed.
Its a nervous and exciting time watch
your designs be transcribed from your
computer screen on to your fabric.

The process takes much long than I imagined.
The fabric is currently in the process of
steaming, rinsing, washing.
Tomorrow i will be able to introduce my
digital Mimaki treats to Nina the Bernina
where i will hopefully be able to watch a new
friendship blossom.

New Times in Winchester

I know i have been very
quiet in recent times but as some of you will know,
straight after the New Year Guerrilla Crafter migrated south.

I now reside in beautiful Winchester.

I have only been here for a week but i have been
working on some really exciting projects,
Guerrilla Crafter is going digital.

I have been given a great opportunity to have a go at printing
my own Guerrilla Crafter fabric. How exciting!!
Here are the first repeat designs for my spring range of fabrics.

Please let me know what you think!

Merry Handmade Christmas to one and all!

I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a
warm and cosy festive season.

I will personally be
surrounding myself with my family and friends
before my move to Winchester in the New Year.

I will return in 2012 with new projects and
plenty of inspiration!

Jolly Christmas Gifts and GIVEAWAY.

Hello fellow craftily creative types,
It seems that the Jolly Christmas Season
is already upon us.

Blogging has been hard to keep up with at this
jolly old time of year, along with me getting ready
for my very exciting move to the
beautiful old city of Winchester

But all the same I have of course Guerrilla Crafting
away working poor Nina Bernina to the bone.
But all is worth it.

Birmingham Frankfurt Christmas Market.
Urban Artisan is  group of West Midlands based designers
selling everything from Soy Candles to graphic prints, jewellery and Textiles.

I am very happy to have been asked to join them
next week on their beautiful Christmas stall.

I have been working on more birdie themed fabric purses,
covered diaries, tea and egg cosies and thought
it would be great for me to share with you my Jolly crafty gifts.

I am very excited about these finding a place with Urban Artisan
in our very beautiful Birmingham Frankfurt Christmas Market.

Continuing with my JOLLY theme i would like to give away
one of my Blue Tit brooches that is in the picture above.

Lost In Lace

This last week saw the opening of the
at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery

"Lost in Lace will see 20 leading international artists take over the Gas Hall at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery this Winter. Running 29th October 2011 to 19th February 2012, this exhibition will explore the relationship between textiles – specifically lace – and space through a series of dramatic and ambitious new site-sensitive installations."
Crafts Council

I have been patently waiting for this
to arrive for the last two months.

I am surprisingly lost for words about
Lost In lace.
So instead i am just going to share the photos i took
when i went to visit this wonder myself

The photographs by no means show the amazing
scale and detail of these pieces or how they
 react with the space.

I recommend that if you are able to visit this exhibition
please go.
You can find out more about the exhibition and the artists

Good Egg, Bad Egg!

This last few days have been about making cosies.
With Winter now our imminent future,
my lust for making things cosy and warm  has well kicked in.

These egg cosies are particular fun.
I like many others am quite partial to a dippy egg for my breaky,
But what if the unfortunate situation of burning your toasted soldiers
should happen
and your egg was already boiled to perfection.
Pop your egg cosy on!!!!!
They are sooooo cute and also make just perfect
kitchen decorations.

I almost believe that everything could have a cosy in
the winter times.
But a tea cosy is in my eyes a household essential.

Rosie Doll popped over with her cup to see what i
was up to and if there was a spare cup of tea going.

Oh Rosie, your such a joker!
You good egg!
