Enliven A Window
Well the day arrived, and my work is now proudly displayed
in the shop window of Emmaus in Eastleigh.
I have been working on this for what feels like for ever,
so to see it so proudly displayed in all its
thrifty vintage glory warmed my
creaftily creative heart
My work will next be displayed at the
Enliven Festival
on the 7th of July on the Leigh Road Recreation ground
where it will be a part of a static display and a fashion show.

Enliven Update
As i said in my last post i have been busy squirrelling away on my Enliven Project.
Well the time has now come to hang my work in the window of the
the Eastleigh Emmaus Shop.
But before i spend all of tomorrow installing my work,
i thought I should give you all a sneak peak
of the things i have been working on.
Below are some the accessories that accompany
my garments, they hopefully invoke a feeling of
Summer Time Tea Parties
The accessories are made from recycled upholstery fabrics and vintage linens
with appliquéd free machine embroidered birds and silk lined
Here is the Garden Party Tea Dress i have made.
This is made from vintage liberty print interior farbic with a handprinted
100% cotton bodice with vintage lace detail and finished with an
embroidered bird brooch.
Here is an extra sneak peak!
I am a very shy person and because of my Guerrilla Crafting
tendencies i tend not to publicise picutres of myself too much.
But here a sneak peak to some promotional shots that were
taken for this years
Enliven 2012.
Footnote: Please be kind! and only i wish we had the weather here in the uk for some
Garden Parties!

Enliven 2012
Guerrilla Crafter has been invited to join a very exciting project called
Enliven is a project were a group of designers work with a Eastleigh
local charity shop to up-cycled used and preloved fabrics and garments
into a designer collection.
I have been assigned the Emmaus Charity
"The Emmaus Hampshire Community provides formerly homeless people with a supportive environment in which to live, work and rebuild their lives. Companions, as residents are known, are given the support they need to enable them to regain control over their own lives and to help those less fortunate than themselves."
The Project will include an installation in the Emmaus Charity shop window from the beginning of June
a fashion show as a part of the Eastleigh summer festival, and may also be displayed at the Vintage festival in this summer.
I feel very honoured to have the chance to be involved in raising this charities profile and hopefully raising some money.
My main
theme is “The Great British Garden Tea Party” With the Olympics coming to
Britain and The Queen Jubilee all happening this summer what better way to
celebrate than with a garden tea party, bunting and all. But along side this i particularly like the idea of war time "Made Do and Mend" This has lead me to think about using interior fabrics as fashion.
"Play Clothes"
Here is a sneak peek into the fabrics i have been working on.
I will keep updating with work as it develops.

Blighty Back Garden Birds.
"How sweet the hedge that hides a cunning nest,
And curtains off a patient bright eye thrush,
With five small worlds beneath her mottled breast!
Norman Gale
With spring in the air and birds singing loud
it would be difficult for me not to take
a great deal of inspiration from this joyous time of year,
The weather has been warm the daffodils are up and flowering
and all around are signs that spring is on its way.
So here i introduce to you my new range of
spring time themed
British Back Garden Birds.
